Welcome to Books for Mind and Body
This web site will introduce you to three books at this moment. The first two are books for the spirit. They are channeled books and if you click on their pages you will find a good description of the books, their Table of Contents and a sample page from each. The spiritualist books are available in PDF and e-pub formats through this site. They are available in Kindle format; however, you will have to go to Amazon.com or Amazon.ca to purchase in that format. The Essential Oil Reference Book is available only in PDF format.
Spiritual Books
A Step Forward and Continuing the Journey are the first two of a series of three books being written, which related to spiritualist concepts. I stress the spiritualist aspect of the books. They are not religious books. The spiritualist concepts held by many need a fresh approach and these books provide that opportunity. There is no intention to sway someone away from their beliefs or to change their opinion about spiritualism, religion or the other issues discussed. Rather it is hoped you will read the books with an open mind and one filled with a desire to explore possibilities. Topics vary widely and cover subjects such as the Spirit, consciousness, karma, choice, etc. There is a breakdown of the topics listed for each book on their Table of Contents pages. We have also provided a sample page from each book for your information. It is not necessary to read one before the other, although they were channeled and written with the intent that one would be read after the other.
Once you have reviewed the pages and decide you wish to purchase the book, please click on the link which indicated "Buy Now". That will transfer you to a site at which you will be able to purchase and down load the book.
The Essential Oil Reference Book
The author, Douglas Thomson, was an aromatherapy instructor at the British Columbia Institute of Holistic Studies for 10 years. The reference book was produced by Doug as a text book for students, as books on essential oils were very scattered in opinions and often lacking in scientific support.
The book takes a careful approach to the use of essential oils and recommends anyone who uses essential oils for therapeutic purposes should receive training to the standards of the major associations in the United Kingdom or to the standards set by the British Columbia Alliance Of Aromatherapy (BCAOA), the only association in Canada, that I am aware of, which meets the highest International standards in their training. Members of that association have been granted the title of Registered Aromatherapist, the only provincially recognized title in Canada for aromatherapy and as Essential Oil Therapists (EOT), a designation issued by the Federal Government.
Doug's book is written with those standards in mind.
